Hi! We’re Jessica and Dan, your hosts and proud caretakers of Valley Vibes. Our love story with Canaan Valley began in 2022, when a bout of pandemic-era cabin fever sent us searching for fresh air and open skies. A long weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park turned into something more—a regular pilgrimage to the mountains for adventure, connection, and peace.
Canaan Valley had it all: hiking and horseback rides in the summer, vibrant foliage in the fall, skiing and sledding in the winter. Each trip left us recharged, closer as a family, and deeply in love with this little slice of “Almost Heaven.”
In 2025, we had the chance to purchase Valley Vibes from a wonderful couple who had cherished it since the ’80s. The condo held decades of their joyful memories, and we’re honored to carry that legacy forward—making our own and sharing the space with you.
This isn’t one of many rentals for us, Valley Vibes is our true home-away-from-home. When you stay here, you’ll have our full attention and our hope that you leave feeling just as restored, inspired, and in-love with the mountains as we are.
